DIAMONDS IN DRESDEN

A diamond is a promise you can see. In our ring studio in Dresden you will find natural and lab-grown diamonds.

THE 4 C's OF A DIAMOND

Four criteria determine the beauty of a diamond – the 4 Cs. You choose them individually for your wedding ring and engagement ring.

CUT

Only the cut turns a diamond into a brilliant. The more precise the facets, the livelier its fire. Besides the round brilliant, we love oval, princess and emerald.

COLOR

Colour describes the white tone of a diamond. The more colourless the stone, the clearer and icier it shines in the light.

CLARITY

Clarity shows how many natural inclusions a diamond carries. The fewer are visible, the purer the sparkle – and the more valuable the stone.

CARAT

Carat is the weight of a diamond: one carat equals 0.2 grams. How large a stone looks depends just as much on cut and setting.

THE KIMBERLEY PROCESS

For natural diamonds, our manufacturer follows the Kimberley Process. It ensures that every stone has a government certificate of origin – so that no so-called conflict diamonds that finance wars enter the market. After all, love should only do good.

LAB-GROWN
DIAMONDS –
SUSTAINABLE ELEGANCE AT BLUSH & BLEU JEWELER

A diamond stands for eternity, love and extraordinary beauty. But does it have to come from deep within the earth? We think: not necessarily. That is why BLUSH & BLEU also offers lab-grown diamonds – sparkle with a clear conscience.

WHAT ARE LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS?

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds created in state-of-the-art laboratories under controlled conditions. Chemically, physically and optically they are identical to natural diamonds, as they consist of pure carbon and grow with the same crystal structure. The only difference? They are created sustainably – without the enormous ecological footprint of traditional diamond mining.

SUSTAINABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

No environmental destruction:

Mining natural diamonds leaves deep scars in nature. Huge mines, destroyed ecosystems and high CO₂ emissions are the result. Lab-grown diamonds don’t require this massive intervention in the environment.

Energy-efficient & resource-friendly:

Modern laboratory technologies allow for more environmentally friendly production with significantly lower energy consumption than traditional diamond mining.

100% conflict-free:

Controlled production ensures that not a single lab-grown diamond comes from questionable sources. Every stone is free of ethical conflicts and produced under fair conditions.

HOW ARE LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS CREATED?

There are two main methods of producing these sustainable diamonds:

HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature):
This method simulates the natural process of diamond formation. Under extreme pressure and high temperature, pure carbon crystallizes into a diamond.

CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition):
A diamond seed grows layer by layer in a special plasma chamber. This process allows precise control over quality and clarity.

The result?

A breathtaking, radiant diamond that shows its full splendor in every piece of jewelry – environmentally friendly and ethically flawless.

DIAMONDS IN DRESDEN – HOW TO FIND YOUR STONE

A diamond is the heart of your ring. It catches the light, tells your story and stays with you every single day. To help you find the stone that feels just right, we take our time for you in our ring studio at Villa Waldeck in Dresden-Blasewitz – personal, discreet and by appointment only.

Natural or lab-grown – which suits you?

Natural diamonds formed deep in the earth over millions of years and carry exactly that story within them. Lab-grown diamonds grow under controlled conditions and are optically, chemically and physically identical. Many couples today consciously choose lab-grown, because a larger or purer stone often fits the budget. Both are real, both are beautiful – what matters is what makes your heart beat faster.

The most beautiful cuts for your engagement ring

The round brilliant is the king of sparkle and timelessly elegant. Oval looks modern and visually lengthens the finger. Princess is square and clear, emerald with its step facets the darling of every minimalist. Pear and cushion cuts add a romantic, slightly vintage touch. Which shape suits you is best seen on your own finger.

Diamonds in wedding rings

Diamonds also add delicate accents to wedding rings: as a single stone, a fine row of stones or all the way round as an eternity ring. Our Rauschmayer wedding rings are made for you in Pforzheim, and the stone setting can be tailored exactly to your style and budget. Everything about your wedding bands can be found on our page Wedding rings Dresden.

Certificate, consultation & the perfect moment

Every engagement ring comes with a certificate of authenticity and clarity. During your ring consultation you compare stones, settings and shades of gold side by side and find out what suits her – or both of you. More inspiration for the proposal awaits among our engagement rings in Dresden.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DIAMONDS

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Like natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds consist of pure carbon with the same crystal structure. There is no difference visible to the naked eye.

What is the difference between a diamond and a brilliant?

A brilliant is a diamond with a round brilliant cut. So every brilliant is a diamond, but not every diamond is a brilliant.

How can I tell the quality of a diamond?

By the 4 Cs: cut, colour, clarity and carat. The certificate for your ring records these values, and we explain what really matters during your consultation.

How many carats should an engagement ring have?

There is no rule. More important than the number is that stone, setting and hand are in harmony. We show you different sizes so you get a feel for it.

Can I see diamonds in person in Dresden?

Yes, at your free ring consultation at Villa Waldeck, Goetheallee 6 in Dresden-Blasewitz – by appointment from Monday to Saturday.
